As a parent and educator, I am always on the lookout for wonderful learning resources. When my twins were two years old I was looking for a video that would introduce the letters of the alphabet along with the specific sounds that each letter makes. I was recommended to buy Letter Factory by LeapFro
g by a mother on the TwinsMagazine website. I knew of the LeapFrog products, but have never heard of this video before. I went out and purchased the video the same night at my local Target store.

I was excited to watch the Letter Factory video and to see the reaction of my children. Immediately, they loved the animation. The video was engaging from beginning to end and uses frog characters named Tad, Leap, and Lily. My children could not get enough of the video and requested to watch it over any other video or Noggin show. They quickly learned the letters of the alphabet and could tell me the phonetic sound of each letter too.

The video teachers the letter names and it is presented in a creative and exciting way. The reason why my children became addicted to the Letter Factory video is because of the musical content. For each letter, there is a way to remember it. For example, the letter U is pictured flying up holding onto an umbrella saying /u/ /u/. The tune that accompanies each letter goes a bit like this: The U says /u/, the U says /u./ Every letter makes a sound, the U says /u./ This video is geared to teach to the many various learning styles of all children.

I highly recommend this video to any of my Kindergarten parents who have children enter my class without a strong foundation of letter sounds. When the parents buy Letter Factory, I notice a change in the children almost immediately. I often sing the songs on the Letter Factory video with my students and use the illustrations in class to jog their memories if they forget what each letter sounds like. They way that each letter comes to life in the video makes the children truly remember it.
