This Amy Butler Fabric clock is a fun accent piece that should fit into quite a few different rooms in any shabby chic or vintage home decor. This Amy Butler Fabric clock would look great in a little girl's room, a family room, the basement reck room, or even in a game room. Even in a retro kitchen!

I love the retro look, but some home décor items in the retro or vintage look can be rather expensive. So, use one of those many Picture Frames you have laying around and transform it into a designer retro clock with some Amy Butler Fabric.

To Make a Clock Out of Amy Butler Fabric and a Picture Frame You Will Need:

Now, I always come across great Picture Frames. I even find vintage Picture Frames at the flea market every summer. Each of these would be perfect to make into this simple vintage looking clock.

Drill a small hole in the middle of the Picture Frame. To do this takes the glass out of the frame. Use a ceramic drill bit to drill through the glass. Now, drill a hole through the cardboard backing.

This will be for your clock kit, so you may want to take a look at that and see if there are any size conditions for this small hole. You don't have to center the clock face; you could offset it for some visual interest.

Now, put the frame back together, but be sure to put a piece of Amy Butler Fabric inside. Is a metal skewer or knife to poke a hole in the photo through the established holes in the glass and cardboard backing.

Now, you are ready to install your clock kit on the Amy Butler Fabric Picture Frame. Follow the direction on the clock kit box. Each kit will be slightly different. I find clock kits at the hardware store, the home improvement store, and almost every single arts and craft store out there. I recommend a clock kit that runs on a battery so that you do not have to have a cord hanging out of the back of the Picture Frame, but that is complexly up to you.
