The average Video game features many odd obstacles that players must overcome. Whether it be leaping across bottomless pits, or defeating larger than life bosses, Something needs to be done. There is always some tool or item available to assist gamers in completing a task. These sometimes out of the
ordinary objectives and events are what I call video game logic.
While playing an old Super Nintendo game I started thinking, why not use said video game logic in the real world? Think about it, certain techniques and tactics used in helping video game characters could make real life a bit more entertaining and interesting. Here are five unique ways to enhance your world.
Video game logic #1: Reach new heights with a double jump.
One of the more basic yet useful techniques in a platform game is double jump. Mastery of this move involves precise concentration and timing. To successfully pull it off, it is ideal to kick downward at the hight of your jump. A novice is advised use a chair as leverage till they get the timing down. After a while, you should be snatching top shelf items at the grocery store with ease.
Video game logic #2: Level up as a rodent killer.
MMORPG's are known for being addicting as well as time consuming. Most of these video games have new users defeating rats as a means of reaching a higher level of power. Locate a cave or an abandoned building, equip a sharp object, then hack and slash your way to beefcake status. You should avoid giant New York rats till at least level 23.
Video game logic #3: All Boxes must be destroyed.
Throughout the entire video gaming world, one constant remains: Boxes are for breaking. Jewelry boxes, cereal boxes, refrigerator boxes it doesn't matter, just obliterate them all. Rewards from boxes may include rare items, potions or even money. A Jack in the Box should be considered an end level boss. Defeat Jack without taking damage and receive two million bonus points!
