The Adventures of Pete and Pete began as few shorts and specials on Nickelodeon in the early 90's. Due to their popularity Nick decided that it was time for the brothers Pete to hit the air waves with their own half hour show.

For a Nick kid like me, this show was the ultimate! Unfortunately the series only lasted three seasons (1993-1996) and eventually even the reruns were taken off the air. The Pete's were gone, but by no chance forgotten!

When I was in high school I did a google search for old nick shows, trying to figure out the name of a series I'd loved as a little kid. I came across a ton of websites and message boards for classic Nickelodeon shows like You Can't Do that on Television, Salute your Shorts and of course The Adventures of Pete and Pete.

After spending a few hours reading testimonials and pleas for a DVD release I realized that I wasn't the only one who loved and missed the Nick shows of my childhood.

For those of you who may not know, there are several Nick groups who have put up petitions to have different shows rereleased on DVD are rerun on T.V. Pete and Pete was one of the most prominent with a "bring back Pete and Pete" petition that yeilded more than ten thousand signatures. With the Nickelodeon Rewind Collection's release of season one on DVD, their call has finally been answered.

This is the first time, since Noggin (a nickelodeon channel) aired reruns in the summer of 2003,  that there has been any chance to officially see Pete and Pete. The show is presented on a two disk, full screen set complete with Pete and Pete box art.

The Season one disk is packed with the first eight episodes,  4 bonus Pete and Pete shorts including What we did on our summer vacation (Mr. Tastee!), 2 Pete and Pete shorts and the Polaris Music Station featuring some classic Polaris tunes from the show. Also included are audio commentaries by Will McRobb (Co-Creator), Chris Viscardi (Co-Creator) and Katherine Diekmann (Director) on select episodes.
