Marriott Burr Ridge Hotel in Chicago: Review

Exercise and Sleep Well at the Upscale Southwest Chicago Marriott Hotel at Burr Ridge

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Marriott Burr Ridge hotel located in the beautiful, upscale southwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois. I only have a few complaints about this hotel. For one thing, there was no free Wi-fi or free internet access inside the guest rooms. You can get an internet connection in your room, but there is a $13.50 per day charge for it. Come on, I've stayed at cheaper hotels where free Wi-fi and internet access is standard. However, you can visit the hotel's business center and use one of the two available computers with free internet access. The connection was slightly sluggish but should not be a problem if you are only checking your e-mail, reading the news or updating your Facebook status. There is a 30 minute limit for computer usage, but no one kicked me out for staying longer. Another gripe I had with the Marriott Burr Ridge hotel was the seemingly poor cell phone reception within my hotel room. I had to stand by the windows with the curtains open and the cell phone antennae up in order to make a call without losing my connection, and cell phone service was completely unavailable inside the business center. The last minor gripe that I have about the Marriott Burr Ridge hotel was the lack of music video channels as part of its free cable package. It would have been nice to have at least one music video channel to exercise with inside the fitness room.
