ng facts ranging from On the Farm to the United States to Native Americans and to different animals around the world.
As a home schooling mom, these books are at the top of my list of favorite resources. I first came across one of them from my library and fell in love with the books immediately. I had never come across a book that taught so much and yet made it so very simple, fun and interesting and making it very motivating for kids.
After I saw how much my daughter who is in first grade loved the books and how much she gained in confidence when it comes to drawing, I knew I had to buy the complete series. These books are one resource that definitely gets used almost on a daily basis and always without any complaining or hesitation.
Each book has a table of contents with a picture of what they will be drawing and learning about. Some tips to get started for the parent or caretaker to help build their child's confidence, creativity and technical skills. Three different themed sections that end with a "Draw What You See", "Draw Your World" or "Draw from Your Imagination" page to encourage them to use their own creativity and a "Learn More" page with other interesting facts, books and other great resources to learn more about what they just drew.
Each drawing lesson has a brightly colored picture with several facts about what they are drawing below the picture on lined paper to show proper handwriting form. Then there are anywhere from four to six simple steps go through in order to complete their drawing.
The Draw - Write - Now Books are one purchase that I have never looked back on and regretted. They definitely get a hundred times more in use and learning from for the amount paid. They are well worth the money.
