CSO Review

One of the top yahoo buzz index movers for the week is Justin.tv. I wanted to see what all the buzz was about so I visited the site. http://www.justin.tv

Justin wears a camera 24 hours a day 7 days a week no matter the circumstances (on a date, using the restroom), and all of this footage is live online at the website. At the time that I'm writing this article i
t is his sixteenth day online. Not only does the website feature 24/7 live video footage, which I found to be rather boring, (what makes Justin's life so much more interesting than anyone else's), but it also features a live chat. At the time of this article there are currently 475 people watching the live feed and chatting, aka a lot of people who need to find something better to do with their time.

The site features previously on Justin.tv, and shows footage of things like Justin sleeping, cleaning up after a party and meeting a rapper. The main page also has an extensive schedule of the things Justin intends to do for each respective day and that is updated as things come up for Justin.

The cast features some friends and people Justin met in college including Kyle, who was a battle bots arena-guy and does a lot of the camera work for Justin.tv. A new female producer has apparently just joined the group and is seeking out dates for Justin. I don't want to watch a live dating show. I would much rather watch the blooper reel on the 20 other reality dating shows currently on television, but hey, that's just me. 475 people apparently totally disagree with me in this moment.

A blog on the site details the important (including the behind the scenes - isn't everything behind the scenes?) events for the day and many subscribers have posted their comments to these blogs. There is no doubt that there is a market for this type of thing, and I do believe that it is an innovative idea. I can not fathom being wired up for the world 24/7, but to each their own.

I can't for the life of me imagine who would be interested in this, even in the most ironic way. Just too boring for me, but I enjoyed the reportage.

Well written article

Obviously lacks perspective if he can't see that no one cares about his life in minute detail. Reminds me of learning to write good fiction when you have to learn how to parse things down to the parts that are essential for the story you're telling. Maybe he should take a writing course.

This is beyond just sad. It is a testament to the fact that too many people have no purpose or goal in life that could even possibly waste a minute of their time on something like this. Maybe Rangel has something with that whole bringing back the draft idea. At least then people would have something to do besides waste good oxygen being alive while they engage in the most stultifying excuse for a life known to man.

Good article!

Sounds like people need to get a life. Wouldn't be interested in watching this myself. But good reporting.

Wow. All those people watching that? They really need to get a life!

Interesting concept. Not really surprised, and almost intrigued. And yes, ashamed to even say that.

Interesting. I wish I could add surprising but reality tv is overdone and silly.

This is just weird. Are people so incredibly bored with their own lives?
