Keith Richards Snorted More Then Just Coke...

Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones admitted to snorting his own father's ashes during a drug binge.

The 63 year old Rolling Stones guitarist said that he snorted his father's ashes after he mixed them with cocaine.

"The strangest thing I've tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father," Richards was quoted as saying by British music magazine NME. "He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn't have cared," he said. "It went down pretty well, and I'm still alive."

Richards' father, Bert, died in 2002 at the age of 84.

Richards is known as one of rock music's resident wild men, and told the magazine that the fact that he has survived this long is due to luck. He advised young musicians not to follow in his footsteps.

"I did it because that was the way I did it. Now people think it's a way of life," Richards said. "I've no pretensions about immortality. I'm the same as everyone ... just kind of lucky. I was No. 1 on the 'who's likely to die' list for 10 years. I mean, I was really disappointed when I fell off the list."

The rocker also discussed with worst drug experience.

"It was when someone put strychnine in my dope. It was in Switzerland. I was totally comatose, but I was totally awake. I could listen to everyone, and they were like, 'He's dead, he's dead!', waving their fingers and pushing me about, and I was thinking, 'I'm not dead!,'" he said.

"I was number one on the Who's Likely To Die list for 10 years. I mean, I was really disappointed when I fell off the list," he added.

Richards also predicts that Pete Doherty could be the next casualty of drugs. He advised him to leave supermodel Kate Moss alone.

The Rolling Stones will start their new European leg of their A Bigger Bang tour in June.

Their tour was interrupted last year when Richards reportedly fell out of a palm tree while vacationing in Fiji.

"I wasn't climbing a tree. I was sitting on a shrub. I was sitting on that shrub again today, but I happened to fall off it the wrong way that day."

Richards had to undergo brain surgery after the incident. The Richards interview will be available in the new issue of NME tomorrow.
