Apple IPOD- a Solid Choice for Your Recording Needs

The Apple IPOD is a worthy purchase, and meets many recording needs, from music to movies to even books-on-tape. It is easy to download from the ipod store. Many different devices can be purchased for listening to the ipod, such as different types of headphones and connections to a car stereo. The ipod is also able to be recharged in many ways. The 30 gb or 80 gb storage gives many options for how to fill the ipod with hours of entertainment! The only changes that could be made would be with the headphones that come with the ipod, upgrades with more memory over the 80 gb, and perhaps including extras such as car chargers with the IPOD package for no additional charge.

Why I Love the Apple IPOD

My favorite thing about the ipod is its flexibility. I am able to record almost anything I want to my ipod. Unlike with the ipod nano and shuffle, actual video and photos can be stored. I find this additional feature quite useful. So how is this done? I had never set up an itunes account or anything before this purchase, but I did not find the process difficult. I simply went to apple.com/ipod. First, I had to download itunes onto my computer. This is a requirement that can't be avoided, so you will need to have a computer with enough hard drive space to accomplish this task. Most won't find this an issue. Next, I went to my downloaded itunes and to the itunes store. Here, you can set up an account so that each time you want to purchase a music video or song, you just find it in the store and then click "purchase." You don't have to enter your credit card information over and over. Once you purchase the song, you then must hook the ipod up to the computer for it to load the songs or videos, etc. to the ipod itself. The ipod comes with a usb cable for this purpose. It takes about three minutes with my dell computer to load each song, but could take longer with dial up. Once the song is loaded, it stays on the ipod unless you choose to delete it later to free up room for something else. With the 30 gb or 80 gb memory, it will be awhile before this becomes a problem.
