The Effects of Spyware on Your Computer System
Spyware is something almost every internet and computer user has heard of. Many users, however, do not completely understand the extent of the effects spyware can have on their computer system. The effects of spyware can
range from annoyances to complete devastation. When a computer first becomes effected by spyware they may not even bother a computer user, but as time progresses and the amount of spyware on a computer grows the user will definitely know something is wrong. Spyware can go from a small problem to a huge problem rather quickly. That is why it is very important for computer users to understand what exactly can happen when spyware ends up on their computer.
The biggest and most common effect that spyware has on a computer system is causing it to slow down. The overall computer functioning can slow down so dramatically that it crawls through loading programs or even opening documents. The reason for this is that spyware is a program. Most computer programs are condensed and made to take up as little space and resources as possible. Spyware, however, is not made that way. It takes up a lot of resources and basically bogs down the computer system. These programs are well entwined in the computer files as well. This not only makes them incredibly difficult to remove, but always makes them even more of a hassle to the computers resources. Any computer without extra resources run slowly. Programs need room to run properly and even the internet needs extra computer resources so that it can function. With spyware taking up the extra needed space needed by these other applications, there is major difficulty in the computer functioning properly. This lack of space also can cause computer crashes. A program that is trying to function, but can not can lead to computer crashes. Spyware causes one big circle of malfunction.
