The Take 2 Bike Trailer is the budget transportation system provided by In-Step. Retailing for $99.99, this trailer can hold two children, up to 50 pounds each. It includes a five point harness safety system for each child, as well as a rain tarp that completely encloses children in case of inclement weather. The tarp remains on the stroller, but rolls up when it is not in use. It also stays securely on the trailer by heavy duty snaps. The trailer has vents in the front and back to stimulate air circulation, and a powdered steel frame makes this trailer durable, and resistant to rust. The 16" wheels are ideal for sidewalks, and paved roads and trails. This trailer also doubles as a stroller.

My husband and I bought this trailer this spring because we wanted to be able to get out more as a family. We have two young children, and felt that our youngest was too young for a child seat on the back of one of our adult bikes. This trailer was the perfect solution. We don't have much expendable income in our budget, and we were able to find this trailer on sale at Target for $79.99.

The first thing I noticed about this trailer was ease of assembly. Absolutely no tools were required to put the trailer together, and the whole process took me about 15 minutes. Joints and hinges pop soundly into place so you can be sure that the mechanism is safe. The wheel release lever is very easy to pull, saving your hands from hard pulling. My kids climbed easily into this stroller and were extremely excited about using it.

My favorite feature on this trailer is the fact that I can use it as a stroller. When I don't feel like pulling a wagon, this stroller gives me the perfect alternative. My kids can be buckled safely inside while I push on the very comfortable handle bar from behind. While in stroller mode, the trailer pushes and steers quite easily. The system feels light, smooth, and easy-to-handle.
