I purchased the Graco SnugRide infant car seat in the Mystic pattern for my now seven month old son. He absolutely loves it and I love the safety of it. It is a very comforting feeling knowing that my son is safe while we are in the car. The LATCH feature is great for people that have newer cars with the capability of using harnesses to snugly restrain the car seat. Even if you are unable to use the LATCH feature you are still able to use the removable base with your car's seat belts or even just the seat itself with your seat belts and still not have to worry about your child's safety. The seat has more padding in it than all of the other seats that I found and instantly puts my son to sleep when he is fussy. The features that ultimately convinced me to purchase this seat are the five point harness, the removable base that stays in the car for quick installation of the seat, and the ability to use the seat with the matching stroller. Another feature that I enjoy is the leveler that allows you to be sure that the seat has been installed correctly with just a glance. It is a fairly reasonably priced car seat at only eighty dollars. The seat is lightweight which allows for easy transportation of the baby between the car and the house, as well as into stores while the child is sleeping, until the child starts to get heavier.
The height and weight limits are some of the highest in this particular infant carrier. The weight limit is listed at five to twenty two pounds, and the height is up to twenty nine inches. My son is currently fifteen pounds and twenty six inches tall and his feet are just starting to hang over the edge of his seat.
Overall I am very pleased with my decision to purchase this infant seat. The only thing that I find to be a downfall is the fact that I will have to purchase another rear facing seat because he will reach the height limit well before he reaches the required twenty pounds and one year of age to be in a front facing seat. If I had been aware of this in the first place I could have just purchased a convertible seat for the same eighty dollars that I paid for this seat.
