Review: so Sexy Smoothing Shine Serum by Victoria's Secret
Long, gorgeous hair is what many women (and men) long for. And while nature may bless you with a bountiful coif, sometimes even nature needs a little help. That's where Victoria's Secret "So Sexy" Smoothing Shine Serum comes in. I can't live without this stuff.
I was reeled in, long ago, as I browsed through Victoria's Secret, on a "Shop Therapy" day.
As I entered the boutique, I passed a display of the "So Sexy" hair care line. The intoxicating aroma grabbed my attention and called me back. I wasn't entirely sure which of these products held me there, so, of course, like a scent-lusty, hair-obsessed woman, I smelled all the testers on the display. Mmmm, the whole line of "So Sexy" products smell wonderful.
My hair is long, slightly wavy, and often has trouble with snarls and fly-aways; so something to smooth out the frizz and add some sexy shine to my locks was a welcome find. I picked up the test bottle of "So Sexy" Smoothing Shine Serum and gave the pump a squeeze.
The serum felt silky and almost warm, as I rubbed it between my palms. The luscious and sexy scent is what grabbed my attention next. I worked it through my hair, from the ends, up to an inch before the scalp, finishing with a final pass over the top layer, for good measure. Even without a brush, it seemed to calm down the fine hair that were astray.
The Smoothing Shine Serum bottle cites silk protein as a key element. It adds softness, like a leave-in conditioner, without being heavy or greasy. It reins in the unsightly fly-aways, tames the frizz, and still leaves your hair feeling light and natural. The shine is remarkable. The scent is inviting, and like it's moniker - so sexy.
You can smooth it into wet hair, right out of the shower. Or, if you need a finishing touch on dry hair, just a little bit will do the trick. And if there is any left over serum on your palms, after your hair has had enough, you could rinse it off, or do like I do; wring my hands in such a way as to use the remaining traces of serum to add shine to my bare fingernails. It'll make your hands feel wonderfully soft.
I love this stuff. I don't go on a date without it.
