We delayed buying a high chair because we did not relish the thought of having a large ugly plastic chair with loud colors taking up space in our small but stylish home. Finally, a friend recommended the Svan® high chair.

It's a beautiful chair that actually looks like a nice piece of furniture which belongs in your home. Constructed entirely of birch wood, it comes in your choice of whitewash, natural, cherry, mahogany, or espresso lead-free finishes. The cherry we chose is a warm, rich color. It's about the size of a typical kitchen chair, and is light-weight and easy to move around. The seat cushion (sold separately) is soft and comfortable, come in a variety of nice colors, and is machine-washable.

The Svan® fits children from 6 months old to adulthood! It is designed to bring the infant or toddler up to the ideal height for sitting at an adult table. For infants, it has a harness and seat guard to keep them secured, as well as a snap-on snap-off wooden tray. There is now a removable, phthalate-free plastic tray cover that comes with the chair and is dishwasher safe. As your child grows, these are removed, and the footplate slides down into position. The seat, safety guard, and footrest are all adjustable both vertically and horizontally to the ideal dimensions for your child. The seat base is sturdy enough for them to step up onto the chair independently. It is JPMA certified and has a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
