Review of the iPod 1 GB Shuffle

Take a look at the smallest, digital music player around! The iPod 1GB Shuffle is smaller than a matchbook and clips to the hip, or virtually anywhere else! It weighs in at just a little over ½ an ounce and is made of durable anodized aluminum. It is so small that it can go anywhere you go (except water) and is so lightweight you'll never notice it is there.

I recently purchased the iPod 1GB Shuffle because I wanted to be able to carry music around in a convenient way. As I am fond of telling people, "I want to be able to walk around with my own theme music like characters have in movies." I tend to travel for trainings associated with my career and as a mom I also seem to be in the car a lot. I also like to have music playing when I clean house or work outside, but my family is not always interested in my music choice.

I have had portable CD Players and in the '80's had a "Walkman" for cassette tapes. I have always found them bulky and they don't stay clipped well because of their weight and bulkiness. I was always catching them on something and pulling the whole contraption off my hip and ears. They also only hold as many songs as on the CD or cassette tape. So, for many years I have just listened to the songs that get caught in my head from time to time.

Then iPods and MP3 Players were invented. However, at my salary and with 2 Diva-Style daughters nearing the pre-teen stages, I thought that current digital music players were out of my price range. But, one day I was bored and I searched the Walmart web site. I was happy to discover the iPod 1GB Shuffle. It was only $79.99 and holds 240 songs, what a great value! It comes complete with a built-in clip that is made of durable anodized aluminum; binaural, ear-bud headphones; and docking station with USB port. I bought it on my lunch hour and then back at work I had music within minutes.
