Product Review of Ugg Boots: They May Be "UGGLY" but I Still Love Them Anyway
About 4 years ago, I noticed a lot of women wearing these boots called "Uggs". At first I thought "yep they named them correctly, because they sure are ugly!" My best friend soon got a pair and kept on telling me how comfortable they were. Without getting into
all sorts of sordid details about my atrocious feet, I can say that it's very difficult to find shoes that don't give me blisters. So although they were a bit pricey ($120.00) I decided to try them out. I purchased a pair of the Classic Short Ugg boots and must say that they are amazing!! I can honestly tell anyone who is reading this review that the UGG Classic Short Boots are the most comfortable pair of boots/shoes I've ever worn.
The official Ugg Website says this about the Classic Short boot:
"The UGG Classic Short is UGG Australia's most popular women's sheepskin boot! The Classic Short boot features lavish twin-faced sheepskin for the utmost comfort. Precision craftsmanship is evident in the Classic Short's reinforced heel, raw seams and signature UGG heel label. Slip into the Classic Short boot and feel UGG Australia luxury."
About The Boot
UGGS are created using very high quality sheepskin which they call 'twin faced' meaning that they're treated both on the outside (skin side) and the inside (wool side). This unique 'material' allows the boot to breathe and wick to keep the feet dry. In addition, sheepskin is by nature water resistant. UGG states that their boots will keep bare feet cool in temperatures as low as -30F to 80F, since sheepskin naturally insulates. The stitching and soles are highly durable and the boot as a whole is very well constructed.
The boot is very lightweight. They may look heavy but they aren't. When wearing them, it actually feels like you're walking around in socks or slippers. These boots are meant to conform to each person's individual feet and fit snugly, but not tightly.
Tips On Wearing UGGS
1)Always buy your UGGS one size smaller than you would normally buy. These boots run big. I normally wear a size 8 in boots and I ordered these in a 7 and they fit perfect.
