I think we're at the point where everyone has at least heard of the recent controversies concerning Rosie O'Donnell, first with Donald Trump, and now with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News. Rosie has always been known to voice her strong opinions not only on the shows she has been featured on in the past, but currently on The View, and on the blog she writes which is featured on her website. She's been known to speak out on gay rights, and the topics she is passionate about, but has Rosie gone too far with her jabs against Donald Trump for the decisions he made with the Miss U.S.A. (Tara Conner) controversy, with her conspiracy theory about 9-11 and the British hostages in Iran? Many think, yes, she has, and she is abusing her freedom of speech, and fame.

The most wonderful thing about this country is that we all have the freedom to say or write whatever we want, but should we exercise this freedom with caution? Is there a point when we take it too far? The difference between the majority of Americans and Rosie O'Donnell is that Rosie has the privilege of sharing her opinions with the millions of people who watch her on television, and choose to navigate onto her webpage. Does this mean she should be more cautious with what she chooses to say, or does her freedom of speech allow her to say whatever it is that's on her mind? I would like to think her place in society requires her to use a bit more caution when speaking out on what she believes to be the truth, because you never can be too sure who's listening.

You are right on with your editoral. Many celebritys are using their so called clout to smash the government and just as politicians, they talk out one side of their mouth and give you bits and pieces, but do not elaborate on the fine detials. When are the people going to take back our government and make the politicians accountable for the job they do for us - many make decisions based on their own opinion. ABC should can Rosie or make her recant her comments and give detail why she has to recant - based on the back up info. Lawyers are loving this - lawsuits, lawsuits.

While I hate every ignorant comment out of her lying mouth, I must argue that even idiots like Rosie have the right to flap her gums, displaying her ignorance at every turn. That's the greatness of America. Even morons are allowed to be morons. What a country!!

I couldnt agree with you more on this. I also think ABC needs to be held accountable for what she is saying. She spoke about the 9-11 conspiracy theory like it was an undisputed fact. not a theory (an idea that isn't proved.)
