Digital cameras can be confusing creatures if you haven't ever really been around technology much like my Grandparents, and if you don't know how to use technology and haven't ever then you probably don't want to learn. Well then there is a digital camera that was built for those kinds of people (my grandparents included) and that is the Olympus FE-230. This camera is a true point and shoot camera, literally the camera adjusts all settings so all you have to do is point the camera and take the picture. Not to bad if you don't know how to manipulate the complex settings of other more advanced digital cameras, which is why I bought this camera for my grandparents. My grandparents needed a cheap digital camera that was simple to use and took decent photos, they didn't want and I quote "one of them there fancy cameras with all the buttons that I don't know what the hell to do with'em all." Besides the fact that my grandparents talk country they aren't stupid people they just don't like technology and don't want to learn anything either, they want a camera that takes pictures like their old film camera, where they don't have to do anything special. The Olympus FE-230 takes care of this for them; it adjusts almost all settings for the user and has very few options when it comes to image manipulation.
I personally hate this camera but don't let that sway you from buying it, the only reason I hate this camera is everything is automated and I don't have control, this is what my grandparents love about the camera. The camera completely automates white balance, ISO sensitivity, and most other settings. This is what makes the camera perfect for anyone who doesn't want to have to deal with changing settings to make a photo look more appealing.
