Candy Cane Eyes, A Funky Approach to Eye Make-up

In my opinion the best part of going out anywhere is the dressing up. You know that feeling you get when you are all dressed up and feeling pretty sure of yourself. What is better then a self-made confidence boost? The answer is creativity. Finding a way to doll you up that no-one else has tried. Having people ask,"What made you think to try that?" is the ultimate compliment when it comes to your own sense of fashion or style. One morning while getting dressed for work, I decided that I was going to try something new. It was around Christmas and I had on a red dress and was attempting to apply my make-up when my creative moment began. With some colorful eyeliner pencils and a little creativity, I created a look that got people asking me, "How did you do that?" This guide will teach you how to create the Candy Cane look, using red and white colored pencils.
What you need:
A black eyeliner pencil
A white eyeliner pencil
A red eyeliner or lip liner pencil
(Make sure that the eyeliner pencils are sharpened. You will need an extremely fine pencil tip to pull this off. )
Make sure that the eyelids are clean so that the eyeliner does not smudge. If you have oily skin you may try adding a bit of powder to the eyelid before applying the pencil to avoid excess smudging.
Your eyes should be ready to go. First, take your white eyeliner pencil and make a very thin line at the bottom of your top eyelid, right above the lashes. Now take the red eyeliner and apply an equally thin layer of red right above the white. Repeat with the white pencil and continue up the eyelid, alternating red and white colors, until you have reached the crease on your eyelid. Make sure that the lines are not too thick or you could end up looking somewhat messy.
Once your "candy cane eyes" are finished, add a small amount of black eyeliner on your bottom eyelid, either below the lashes or directly on the inner lid. You can use any two colors you would like to pull this off depending on the occasion or outfit. I was successful with the candy cane look which is why I chose it for this article.
And you're finished! Hope you had as much fun and luck as I did!
