How to Change Your PHP Nuke Layout
Chances are when you install PHP Nuke, you are going to want to change the layout. You can change the layout and the logo by going through the preferences in the admin panel. In this guide I will show you how to change your PHP Nuke layout and change the site logo. Go ahead and log in to
your admin panel and we will get started.
When you log in to your admin panel, you will see a bunch of icons. Click on the Preferences Icon to get started. When the page reloads, scroll down the page to where you see General Site Info. The General Site Info box is where you will change your layout.
Go down to the Default Theme for your Site box and drop that box down. Select a theme and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes. Go through the themes until you find the one that you want to use. There are 14 themes to choose from. You can also download themes off the web to use. Just go through the list and click Save Changes to see each theme. You may want to open your homepage in a new window to see what the homepage looks like every time you try a new theme. Just refresh the homepage every time you save a new theme.
Adding your own logo is a little harder. But I will walk you through each step. The first thing that you will need to do is open a graphics program to create your logo in. You can use something like Fireworks, Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro to create your logo. Your logo width should be 310px and your height should be 60px. After you have created your logo, save it as a gif file. Save your logo as logo.gif.
Now you will need to log in to your Site's Control Panel. When you log in to your site's control panel, you will see a list of links or icons. Click on File Manager. On the next page you will see a list of folders and names beside the folders. Find the public_html folder. Click on that folder. Then click on the PHP Nuke folder. Next, click on the Images folder. Then click on the Upload Files link. On the next page, click the Browse button and locate your logo that you want to upload. Then click the Open button. Next, check the Overwrite Existing Files box. Then click the Upload button.
