One of Karen's books, Deadly Pretender, a crime story, has been made into a movie and four of her later novels are currently under movie option agreements.
Karen's well-known Redemption Series has had readers talking for years now. Karen has managed to use the same characters in spin-off series for nearly a dozen books. The Redemption Series has spun off into the Firstborn series where the estranged first-born son of John and Elizabeth Baxter returns to be with his family.
Karen's books have touched thousands of lives over the years and her writing style is favored by many. Karen has written everything from romance to children's books. One very popular children's book she has written is Let Me Hold You Longer. It is a book about a mother's relationship with her child. If you have not bought this book for your child yet, you must do so soon!
Sunrise, her latest novel is set to be on store shelves on May 8th.
Even writers of the same genre who have been writing for much longer than Karen have only good things to say about her work.
"Karen is a gifted writer who confronts the hard issues with truth and sensitivity," said Francine Rivers.
Rivers is a well-known author of Christian Fiction herself. Some of her more popular book include Redeeming Love, The Shofar Blew and The Scarlet Thread. Rivers and Kingsbury's styles are similar and contrasting at the same time. While many of Rivers novels are set in the 1800s and biblical times, Kingsbury's novels are set in the present.
