Being a scrap booker, I love to take pictures. This posed a problem for me as using my antique SLR camera left me with many rolls of undeveloped film. That is the one reason why I made the switch over to a digital camera, but there are several other reasons why I choose the Vivitar Vivicam 3750 digital camera including, price, ease of use, mega pixel size and a display screen.First of all, I have to admit that the price was the biggest factor influencing my purchase. At the time, when I first bought it, I went for the most mega pixels at an affordable price, and that is what I found in the Vivicam 3750 digital camera. Two years ago, when I purchased my digital camera, it had a whopping 3.1 mega pixels all for under $100. Now that technology has advanced, I'm certain you could find other digital cameras having more mega pixels for a price that isn't a budget breaker.
Secondly, after comparing the Vivicam with the other models displayed, I opted for the Vivicam for its weight. Sure I could have gone with the lighter weight models, but after being so used to a bulky and heavy SLR, I wanted to feel that the camera was more than just a plastic body. Plus, I didn't want to complicate things. I needed it to function easily without all the guess work and that is exactly what I got with the Vivicam digital camera. No muss, no fuss, no turning 10 different dials just to take a picture. I figured if I was taking pictures of a subject that needed a complex camera, I still had my SLR.
