The Suspense-Thriller Superhero Movie Unbreakable
Embed:
Unbreakable stars Bruce Willis (Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, voice of RJ in Over the Hedge) and Samuel L. Jackson (Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III) in a suspense-thriller superhero movie. Bruce Willis pays the role of a man named David Dunn who has gone through life not knowing what his place in the world was. David's marriage was broken because of it, and him and his wife were trying to work things out and stay together. The couple met when they were in college, and were in a terrible car accident together. The crash did not hurt David at all. He was thrown from the car, and did not even have a single bruise or scratch on him. The car started to burn with his girl friend (future wife) still inside of the car unconscious. Out of desperation to free her, he ripped the door off of the broken car with his bare hands. David was a football star in college, but after the crash he stopped playing football and pretended that he was hurt in the accident. How could he not be hurt?
David survives many major accidents without leaving so much as a mark in the movie-even a train accident in which he was the only survivor! David has never been sick, or injured in his entire life, with the exception of almost drowning in a pool when he was a child.
David meets someone who is interested in David's ability to survive these accidents and considers David to be Unbreakable, a super hero. David shrugs the strange man off when his own son tries to show him that he is in fact invulnerable, by wanting to shoot him to prove it!
It turns out that David does in fact have "super-powers", and he chooses to use them to help and saves others. Like most super-hero characters, David does have a weakness. Water is his kryptonite! There is a surprise ending, which I will not give away, either.
