The Bachelorette: Another One Bites the Dust?
The Bachelorette: Where the Implausible Meets the Improbable
This season's installment of "The Bachelorette" has come and gone and I still find myself wondering about Jillian's sanity for not choosing, that fine as wine, Kiptyn. Ah but who can dictate love. Depending on who you ask, Jillian's love fest with her "soulmate" Ed Swiderski is due to hit the skids faster than you can say, Microsoft Systems Analyst or whatever, his highly demanding job is. Anywho, as it turns out, Ed is an alleged louse. I mean even if he isn't as big a louse as the tabloids are portraying him, he's at least acquainted with the neighborhood where louses live. Us Weekly has been favoring us with daily installments of Ed's sordid doings. This brings me to some observations about "The Bachelorette". God love me, I've never had 30 men vie for my affections before so I'm at a disadvantage there. As my dating history will bear out, I really can't say I know that much about men. But like anyone without all the facts, I'm going to weigh in anyway. Feel free to send comments, give me bad press and otherwise let the world know who I am with loads of bad publicity, if you don't agree with my opinions.Who are these guys?
Women all across the planet are lamenting the fact that they can't find one decent guy who wants to settle down, but ABC can find a whole 30. A whole 30 who are ready to commit to one woman for the rest of their lives. 30 dudes, guys, bros ready to settle down. It boggles the female mind. Still trying to get my head around it. But wait there's more. We're talking about 30, pared down from 100's if not thousands. I am no rocket scientist; just in case you were curious, but what are the chances? I mean really, what are they?. Let's dig a little deeper. We're not talking about 30 run of the mill everyday, in between jobs, bottom of the barrel, funky T-shirt, guys. We are talking about successful, well groomed, athletic, low body fat, guys. Men with names like Tanner and Kiptyn. And this season had two Tanners. Who knew there were two Tanner's in the world, much less two ready to settle down and take a relationship to the next level.
It's the competition that does it
