As winter ends and spring begins a wonderful transition takes place. The snow melts, the weather warms, robins appear, and we all get anxious to for a new beginning. Like caterpillars we tend to enter a cocoon during the winter remaining dormant until spring and emerging as beautiful butterflies stretching our delicate gossamer wings. And to make these changes in our homes can be a very easy process by only altering a few things. The spring decorating ideas that I would like to focus on are: reorganization, lighting, and adding color.

During the winter our homes can get very cluttered because of many people's tendency to squirrel away things. And a cluttered home isn't only hard to get around in; it's also hard to think clearly in. If you're constantly looking at a junky house it puts your nerves on end at seeing more work that needs to be done. So the first thing you need to do is to go through everything and see if you really need it if not pitch it if so stores it properly. Many home improvement stores sell closet organizers which can more than double your storage space and making easier access to your things. Baskets are also great for organizing your home. Place one in each room and let it be your catch all place then at bedtime take the baskets and return the items to their appropriate places. This makes clean up time so easy that even the kids can do it. Now that we've organized our homes let's lighten things up.
