Media reports had been circulating about the possibility of Stern and Wood working together. Lin Wood became well recognized when he successfully defended Patsy and John Ramsey, the parents of the murdered Jon-Bennet Ramesy. Wood filed numerous defamation claims against media outlets on behalf of the couple.
A spokesperson for Wood released a statement in regards to all the speculation. The statement tells us that the two have been in talks and that nothing is official quite yet.
Mr. Wood has received numerous inquiries seeking to confirm media reports that he is in discussions with Howard K. Stern concerning possible legal representation of Mr. Stern, both individually and in his capacity as the Executor of the Estate of Anna Nicole Smith. This statement is issued to confirm that such discussions are ongoing and that Mr. Wood expects to issue an additional statement early next week with respect to this matter. At this time, Mr. Wood is not commenting further on his discussions with Mr. Stern. (via Tmz.com)
As several media sites have reported, a retainer agreement has not yet been signed. However, reports state that the pair may have agreed in principle that the lawyer will represent Stern. The representation would help Stern get his revenge against certain members of the media that he feels have hurt his name in the past couple weeks.
