You know almost every pizza place in America delivers. But have you ever wondered how far they would deliver? Most only deliver within the city where the business is. Some will deliver a little farther away then that. But I bet you wouldn't think any pizza place in the world would deliver over 1222 miles away, a trip that if driven would take around 19 hours.

In Waverly, Ohio most people think Cardos is about the best pizza place that we have. And some may go to extremes to get a delicious Cardos Pizza. If you think I am exaggerating I am not. When Cardos Pizza of Waverly Ohio says they deliver they mean it and they have proven it.

A former Waverly Ohio resident and Waverly High School graduate Lisa Rodriguez and her husband Richard left Waverly in 1981. They now live in Houston Texas. Mr. Rodriguez is a pastor at Houston's second largest church Christian Life Center. I'm sure some of you have heard you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy. Well if you are from Waverly Ohio you can move away but you can't forget Cardos Pizza.

Lisa tried for years to find a pizza that tasted good enough to take the place of Cardos Pizza and stop her cravings. But this was to no avail. She could not find any pizza that tasted as good as Cardos. She said she and her husband have traveled all over the world even to Rome but no pizza she ate any where could take the place of her favorite.

The Rodriguez's have tried for years to get Cardos to ship them out some of there delicious pizzas but co-owner Jeff Koehler always turned them down. He was afraid the pizzas would not make it to Texas in any kind of edible condition. But with lots of perseverance and help from others the Rodriguez's finally got Jeff to give in. And on January 16th 2006 six extra large pizzas's arrived at their home.

The Rodriguez's paid $90 for the pizzas and $120 to have them shipped. Now not only did Lisa and Richard crave these pizzas but so did Lisa's sister-in-law Cat Brown also a former Waverly resident. Cat traveled from her home in San Antonio to enjoy the pizzas with Lisa and Richard.
