Looking Ahead to The Ten Hottest Movies for Summer 2007

Which Movies Will Do the Best at the Box Office?

It seems that the theme for this upcoming summer's cinematic endeavors is "Sequel, Sequel, Sequel." A large number of the films to set premiere from May to August are continuations of already successful film franchises (which for some only furthers the argument that there is no
originality left in Hollywood). With dozens of movies to choose from, here is a look at the ten movies I think have the best chances at being the hottest things the box office has to offer!

Starting at the bottom and working out way up, the number ten movie on this list is the only film that isn't a sequel: The Simpsons Movie. Most fans of the hit television series are well aware of the fact that this film has been highly anticipated for quite a long time now. As is typical of the series, the premise of the film deals with Homer's attempt to fix a problem that, of course, he created. This time, however, it goes a little beyond Springfield, SU (that's, "State Unknown") . . . Homer has somehow found himself in the unsavory position of having to save the world. Maybe after he figures out how to save Earth from the catastrophe headed its way, he'll finally learn how to save himself from the mini-catastrophes he always seems to get himself into! This film isn't at the bottom of the list because it lacks any merit; people have been waiting for this for a very, very long time, after all. However, some might wonder if maybe we haven't been waiting too long. Let's just hope The Simpsons manage to bring us something so new and exciting it'll have us rolling in the aisles before too long!
