Finally! The cable service in my house has been updated from just digital cable to digital cable with DVR. Long have I dreamed about having DVR, and the ability and power to control TV. Or, at least to watch what I want when I want.
The Charter Cable TV DVR Service in our area, turned out to be cheaper than TiVo, sorry TiVo. I am sure that you are just as good, we just when cheaper.
How I Stopped Living like a Geico Caveman and Learned to Love DVR
What I love about Charter Cable TV DVR Service is that it really does not cost that much more than the movie channels we had. Since the premium movie channels were playing the same old movies from month-to-month, we were not using that service we were paying for. So, we canceled those and got Charter Cable TV DVR Service instead.
The best thing about it is that it truly frees up your time and allows you go to sleep when you want. So many of our favorite shows have moved from the 9pm prime time slot to the 10pm prime time slot. Honestly, it can be a struggle to stay up so late just to watch TV when you have to get up at 5am.
Now we can keep up with all of our favorite shows and still sleep.
The Charter Cable TV DVR Service is also very simple to use. They have made the remote control happily color-coded. Recording a program is not hard, and neither is deleting them.
It also highlights any shows set to record in red, on the guide, so it is easy to see what is already set to record, and you don't have to waste time trying to program a show to record that is already set to go.
Another feature that I like is the receiver is incredibly fast. They have recently upgraded their equipment or their software in the state, and the response time on the receiver shows that.
Obviously, as with any recording technology, you can watch one show and record another. This cuts down on household arguments.
What I Would Change
As with any cable television service, the price is way too high. And every couple of months the cable companies find a new way to charge you for fewer services.
It should come standard with any digital package. Since, if you are living without it, you might as well be living with the cavemen.
