As a person that likes to watch movies at a theater or cinema, there is only one place in town I will go see them now -- Palladium Cinemas 14. For those who decide to ever come to High Point, North Carolina, here is the address info on where they are located:

Palladium Cinemas 14 has only been around a couple of years, but it has changed the city in terms of where people go to watch the newly released movies. This very new state-of-the-art facility is where residents go on Friday and Saturday nights as it provides 14 viewing theaters for those attending.

Before the Palladium Cinemas 14 came into existence, there were really only a couple of cinemas in town that people attended. Carmike and Regal Cinemas were the places that people would go here in town before the new age theater came out. Carmike Cinemas is located on Main Street just as you are coming in northward to High Point. It was a place people could go to watch movies without having to deal with much of traffic coming into the area. However, the cinemas have been around for a good while, and it was wearing thin with movie fans.

Regal Cinemas have been in High Point since 1995 when the local Oak Hollow Mall was built. At first, the mall had plenty of traffic to where many movie fans would stop in to catch the latest releases. However, many complained because of the location of the mall in accordance to where it was built at. Regal was built directly beside the Food Court in the mall. So being that the mall is very small and compact, it didn't take long for it fill up with people.

Both Carmike and Regal were traditional movie theaters that have many locations nationwide. So after a period of time, many wanted a change. Enter Palladium Cinemas 14. Carmike and Regal Cinemas are in the northern part of High Point.

So a couple of years ago, Palladium Cinemas were open to the public on the northeast side of town bordering Greensboro.
