Starving artists no longer need to starve anymore. There are many resources and websites targeted to help artists achieve a lucrative income online if they so choose. In my opinion, it would be easier to build an art career online, than lugging loads of framed paintings and photographs to your local art gallery, or library. So how does one go about starting their own online art gallery?

Free Online Art Galleries
There are many places to promote your art online, these are the best free art galleries that I have come across.

ALL ART ONLINE
www.allartonline.com

All art online is run by art professionals who are looking to find talented artists and promote them internationally. Artists can sign up for free to exhibit their artwork. They are then given tools to further promote their work on the world wide web. You must have at least 12 pieces to exhibit, but your limit is 100 pieces. All Art Online gets no commission for any sales you may make. Other features artists have for free are: Detailed statistics, translation in 5 languages, music, special effects, credit card payment, custom orders processing and much, much more.

ESPECTRO
www.espectro.com

This art website is for art galleries and enthusiasts. As an artist, you can sign up as a gallery or, of course as an artist. To have a free account, you are only allowed 5 pieces for a year.

FOUNDMYSELF
www.foundmyself.com/

Artists can sell their work for free and have an online art gallery with music included, tools to promote your work, major credit cards with shopping cart where you keep 100% of every sale, a gallery link, enhanced search engine placement and more. Foundmyself gets 50,000 visitors a month with over 200,000 page views. They work continuously to make things better for the artists that they serve.
