Memories of a Baseball Glove
Embed:
Spring is a great time to enjoy the outdoors. There is the sense of rejuvenation; people are more active in larger numbers during the spring. Many have been cooped up during a long cold winter; others are out to enjoy the beautiful weather. Springtime in New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is amazing. Unlike most of the United States, I am fortunate enough to enjoy each of the four seasons. The most enjoyable in my opinion, is the spring. A sport that is synonymous with spring is baseball. I live for baseball I love it. I enjoy going to games, watching it on television and playing. The one thing I cannot live without would have to be my baseball glove. My baseball glove was handed down to me from my father when I was about eight years old. Gloves are very special. Each person has a particular way they prefer their baseball glove. Some people love to have the feel of the glove to be nice and loose. Other people prefer to have a stiff feel to the glove. The glove is important to people, they hold memories from playing little league, or high school, perhaps even college baseball. The glove I was given holds special memories to me, it belonged to my hero, my father. My father is no longer with us, he passed away a year ago. I still remember those spring days outside the house throwing the baseball until it was too dark to see. Those are some of my fondest memories as a child.
