HOLLYWOOD, CA. Talk about your celebrity spin. According to Tori Spelling - - in an article to be released in the upcoming (April 16th) issue of US Weekly - - the feud between her and estranged mother Candy is over. In fact, Tori says she's not even certain what caused the estrangement. Her statement certainly puts a different "spin" on a story that has included months of a highly documented feud between mother and daughter. Most of America is aware of the refusal on the part of both Tori and Candy (Spelling) to speak to one another since the death of Aaron Spelliing, Tori's father and Candy's husband. The mother and daughter even refused to sit together during the Emmy tribute to the popular television producer.

Spelling now claims "Nothing really transpired between us. After reading so many stories, I think we both thought, Does she hate me? Did I do something? We were both scared to reach out to each other. Now that we're together, we realize that there is no feud."

Interestingly enough it was also US Weekly that Tori turned to last June when she learned of her father's death. Tori, who was in Canada at the time, said that she received the news via her BlackBerry and not from a call on her mother's part. She told the magazine at the time that she "felt betrayed" because she was not told how sick her father really was.

Rumors concerning the rift in the Spelling family actually began after Tori's split from ex-husband Charlie Shanian. Those supposedly close to the family said that Tori's parents were very displeased with her whirlwind romance and quick marriage to her current husband, Dean McDermott. Others speculated that that neither Aaron nor Candy were happy with the way that Tori poked fun at her mother in her television show So NoTORIous.

Mothers and daughters often disagree but hopefully they will always make up.

Well written and objective, Charlotte. As JJ Allen said - Mama's are always mamas - I can never stay angry at my Mama - for too long anyway!

I really like Tori Spelling. I guess I like the fact that she makes fun of herself. I'm glad that everything worked out with her mother. Great article and like Carol said great reporting; very objective. Bye

Its never good to feud with your mama. Some mama's are a bit difficult, but they're mama's just the same.

I really can't stomach Tori Spelling but you did an objective job reporting about her.
