A while back I reviewed a new coffee house in the New Port Richey area by the name of "Insomniacs." Recently a new coffee house has opened near the same area called "Java J's." It is located on St. Rd. 52 between Us 19 and Little Rd. on the right if traveling east, or the left if traveling west. "Java J's" has been open for about a month now and just had its Grand Opening on March 31st. I have been a regular customer there since it opened and I have had plenty of time to review it. In the time I have spent at "Java J's" I have befriended the owner. His warm and friendly personality makes me feel as welcome as if I was invited into his home. It has comfortable and entertaining surroundings including cozy furniture, a nice bar area, and even a jukebox with a variety of songs to choose from. At the bar area is a mega touch game console that I have occupied my time with on many occasions. In the back room is a plasma screen television, more comfortable furniture to relax on, and two dart boards.
Unique touches add to the charm of "Java J's" amiable atmosphere. There are notebooks sitting on every table that anyone is free to write what they choose in. Outside there is a wooden deck area with patio furnishings and outdoor lighting. On of my favorite things is the fact that on the walls inside there are amateur displays of art work posted by "Java J's" customers, one of the paintings belongs to me.
Though I have not had the chance to savor all the products "Java J's" has to offer, I will comment on how much I enjoy the smoothies which come in flavors of wild berry, strawberry, mango, and pear. I favor the wild berry. I have tried other products including the delicious chai, hot teas, and espresso blends and I have not been disappointed. There is a plethora of cookies and pastries that all hit the spot and also recently sandwiched have been added to the menu. They offer turkey, roast beef, and ham sandwiches all made with Boar's Head meat. The spicy mustard adds considerable amount of flavor and you can also choose from American, Swiss, or Provolone cheeses.
