Product Review: Micro Innovations Optical Mouse

My job as does that of many people, involves frequent and prolonged use of a desktop computer. This of course encompasses the use of a mouse. For years I've struggled with the traditional roller ball mouse.

Anyone who uses this type of mouse will readily identify with my complaints about the ball mouse. About a year ago, my old mouse gave out and on a whim I purchased a Micro Innovations OpticalMouse.

What an enormous difference this mouse has made in my daily work. I'm delighted with the Micro Innovations Optical Mouse. Instead of a ball or wheel, this mouse operates with a laser. It's efficient, smooth and quick. We have used this new mouse daily for a year with not one single problem.

With the old roller mouse, I was constantly struggling. The MI Optical Mouse has a self-contained laser light that doesn't fall apart. With my new MI Optical Mouse, I have no more trouble with balls that stick, causing all my work to freeze. The MI Optical Mouse doesn't pick up debris or get clogged, like the wheel mouse.

The price is right also. The MI Optical Mouse cost me under $10 for the installation cable, software and mouse. The difference in cost for the MI Optical Mouse compared to the ball mouse was virtually nothing.

The MI Optical Mouse nor any other laser mouse doesn't require a mouse pad. We use one at home to keep the surface clean, but they are not necessary. In fact, the mouse is more agile and sensitive without the pad.

Installation was quick and easy. I installed the MI Optical Mouse in about two minutes, very simply. The kit comes with all you'll need. The most you'll have to do is to open 'control panel' --- 'add new hardware'--'mouse and pointers' and select from a list or type in Micro Innovations Optical Mouse. On many computers you simply plug it in. Your computer will say 'found new hardware' and you are good to go.

At my husband's place of employment, they are still struggling with the ball mouse. These mice are always causing problems. They interfere with operations and production and are frequently needing maintenance. He loves the new MI Optical Mouse I've installed on our home computer.
