There are many ways to find after school activities for your kids. There are many recreational centers which offer activities for kids after school. You can find out if your town or city has a recreation center by calling or visiting your local city hall.

In some cases, local school systems have after school classes on a variety of different things, such as art or music classes. Many times after school activities at your local school can include sports, band, and pon pom.

In larger cities, there are museums, libraries, YMCA's, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and The Boys and Girls Clubs of America offer after school activities. In many cases, kids find the activities at the establishments fun and entertaining. Many of these establishments offer music, arts, sports, reading, and various other educational activities.

There are also non school affiliated sports programs that are offered after school by organizations. In cases like this, parents of other school children often coach these sports activities.

In many cases, school aged children can be your best source of information for finding after school activities. Many of the kids will talk about things they are going to do after school, often enough, the chatter on the playground can often lead to your own children wanting to try some of these activities.

You can also check local entertainment guides and newspapers for further after school activities offered by businesses.

If all else fails, find a babysitter that has daily after school activities planned. Many day care facilities, whether they are large daycare facilities or independent people, often have set schedules for various age groups for activities for school aged children.

Also, your children's friends parents may have planned activities for their children. In some cases, parents will set up a day for each of the parents to be responsible for after school activities. Examples of these types of after school activities includes going to the park, a movie, a tour of a museum, roller skating, ice skating, and bike rides.
