A Great Gas Saver and a Great Car as Well with Many Exciting Unique Features

Now consumers can buy a fuel efficient car with Toyota's hybrid technology and it's not a Toyota either. Nissan officials are licensing Toyota's hybrid synergy drive system and installing it in the new 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid. The reward of the Altima is that it provides 42 miles a gallon in the city and 36 on the highways. This new Altima holds five passengers and offers stability control, traction control, six air bags, dual-zone climate control, electronic no key entry system with a push button ignition, and front-seat active head restraints to reduce whiplash injuries. Those are a few unique features that are with the list of other standard features.
This car doesn't have to be plugged into an electrical socket. Electric power is generated on an ongoing basis and stored in a Nickel Metal Hydride battery as the vehicle travels. The kicker is that the battery causes the trunk space to be reduced by 9.1 cubic feet.
This new Altima has a 2.5 liter engine mated to a 148 kilowatt electric motor, double overhead cam four cylinders and packs 198 horsepower. Thank Nissan for the more powerful four cylinders; this car can convince any driver that this car carries a V6 instead of a four cylinder. Not only did Nissan copy Toyota's hybrid cars but they actually better themselves by producing a more competitive car for the Hybrid market. Currently, they are number one in most horsepower in a hybrid car and bigger fuel tank. The recommended fuel for this car is regular unleaded (quite surprising since most of the cars of this style require plus or premium fuel).
Nissan impresses with the fuel mileage despite it being such a roomy car. Both front-seat and back seat legroom are more than what you can expect from a comfortable Camry.
The suggested retail price is going at $25,000. Currently, this car is only being offered in eight states. These states are California, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
