Dollar Store Dolls Recalled

Be sure to check your children's toys to see if they have any baby dolls from a dollar store.

Two dolls sold throughout the country at various dollar stores have been recalled. It was announced from OKK Trading Inc, the manufacture of the two dolls, that these dolls were in dollar stores between September and October of 2006. Apparently the dolls contain small parts which could become choking hazards and about three and a half thousand are being recalled.

The names of the dolls that were recalled are "Lovely Baby" and "Happy Baby." These dolls come in different sizes, ranging from six to eleven inches tall. Some of the dolls come in a basket and have a baby bottle and some of the dolls sing when you press on the abdominal area of them. The dolls are packaged in a clear plastic bag sealed at the top with a cardboard label, which has the name either Lovely Baby or Happy Baby printed on it. If you are unsure whether or not the doll that your child has is this doll because you no longer have the packaging that the doll came in you can see large pictures of the dolls at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website www.cpsc.gov.

OKK Trading Inc. is one of the USA's largest wholesale direct importers of dollar-store toys for both stationery and seasonal merchandise. They have been in business for more that fifteen years. Some of the other kind of products that they sell are small action figures, miniature cars, miniature planes and small figures of animals. Dollar stores are popular for their low prices of everyday items and for their inexpensive stocking stuffers, Easter basket fillers and birthday party favors.

If a doll that your child owns fits the description of these dolls you should immediately take the doll away from your child. As of now no incidents or injuries involving the dolls have been reported but the dolls do pose as a serious health risk.
