In America, heart disease is the primary killer than any other disease. There are foods that you can consume that will reduce the chances of you getting the disease. Degeneration of the heart muscle, arteries hardening, an overgrown heart, irregular heartbeats, all of these problems comes from waste in your body, sludge from fat, eggs, meat in the system.

Making sure that you have more fiber in your diet, consuming those products with unsaturated fats is a very good start to fighting this disease. Instead of lard choose olive oil. Different fruits, vegetables and legumes reduces cholesterol. Here is a list of foods that should be consumed for different ailments.

Hardening of the Arteries

Brewers yeast, Brussels sprouts, garlic, kelp, onions, lecithin, safflower oil, peas, spinach(raw), soybean oil, tomatoes and wheat germ.

Angina

Lecithin, papaya and mangos.

To get your share of omega-3 fatty acids, you can eat walnuts, fish like Mackerel which has the antioxidant selenium, which is a mineral that is a guard against heart disease, and even cancer. Other foods that are high in fiber, have zero cholesterol and no fat, are kidney beans. Don't go for the canned products, that tend to have more sodium, get the bagged kind.

Barley, the whole-grain type is very high in fibers and aids in proper digestion of food. Oatmeal, my favorite breakfast food, is great for combating hunger. One bowl keeps your stomach full until lunch time! Don't buy the instant kind that's full of sugar. You can put fruit such as raisins, apples in your oatmeal to take away the blandness or some honey.

If you are serious in eliminating any heart problems that you have, don't just consume the foods mentioned and think that everything will be alright. In other words, you cannot consume the foods that will heal your heart, then turn around and continue to load up your body with the wrong food products. Always keep a well-balanced diet in mind when healing the most important part of your body, your heart.
