A Great Way to Teach Your Child Personal Safety

Safety Kids Vol. 1 Personal Safety Review

I would not consider myself a paranoid mother, but I am worried about the safety of my children. That is why I am so happy to share with you the Safety Kids program that literally saved my life when I was 7 years old.

When I was a child I was walking home from school when a car with some men pulled up next to me and asked me to come along with them to find the Ice Cream Man. I immediately remembered what I learned as a Safety Kid and started yelling very loudly and ran away from them. If I hadn't
learned the program I probably would have gone with them in hopes of free ice cream, I shudder to think what could of happened to me.

I recently discovered that Brite Music was still around and they still offered the Safety Kids program. I was so delighted and immediately bought it to share with my own children. We listen to the CD along with the Sing-Along Activity Book and my children love it. The songs are catchy and easy to remember, and what is most important is that they teach valuable safety lessons. My children are proud to call themselves a "Safety Kid."

The first song goes through The Safety Dont's which teach children What Not To Do, such as don't play alone in a vacant park, stay outside in the dark, hang around after school, get in a stranger's car, take anything from a strangers hand, tell someone on the phone when you are home alone, say you are going one place then go another, and more.

The second song is called "The Togetherness Kids." It basically tells a story and teaches kids to use the buddy system wherever they go.

The third song named "The Telephone Song" tells the importance of memorizing your phone number and provides a very catch tune to memorize it with. I remember listening to this as a child and learning my phone number, it is amazing how long these songs stay in your memory.

Then it goes through the basic Safety Kid Rules which are: 1. Never Talk to Strangers, 2. Always Use the Buddy System, 3. Lock The Doors When You're Home Alone or Tending Younger Kids, 4. Know Your Telephone Number and 5. Don't Let Anyone Do Things To Your Body They Shouldn't Do.

Everything we do helps our kids grow. It is really tough to teach kids and know they pay attention. It sounds like this safety Kids Cassette is something that every parent needs to have and grow with their kids. Thanks for the information . Donna http://www.guardyourselfnow.com

I was only 2 or 3 when my mom started playing this in the car for me and my sister....I still remember the songs! I also knew the importance of what was being sang. I'm getting this for my 3 year old.

I am 58 years old and had used the Safety Kids tape when my five children were youngsters. They loved it and so did I. Now I have grandchildren and wanted to share it with them, however I couldn't find my old copy. I decided to check online to see if perchance it was still available. Imagine my delight when I found it right away. I still remember the tunes after all these years and can hardly wait for my new copy to arrive. In fact I'm so excited I'm ordering for all of my own grandchildren as well as some for my friends. Thank you Brite for this wonderful product!

I am 27 years old and now have 2 young toddlers of my own. Their safety is very important to me. My oldest is getting ready to go to preschool, and I was trying to think of a way to teach him about his "invisible line" That noone is to cross. I searched and search my house after 27 years looking for that safety kids cassette I had growing up, still knowing all the songs. I thought I would search for it online and here it was after all this time. This is such a great way to teach kids all the important things they need to know, in a fun way, when you may not be around to help them. I am so excited to share this with my children, and freinds.
