Obama Pledges Two Billion Dollars to Brazil for OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING!!!!
Love them there Progressives, don't we? How many trillions of ruined electrons have been sacrificed to hear all about how concerned Progressives are with the environment, fossil fuels, foreign oil, blah, blah, blah? To hear them tell it, the EARTH MUST move from fossil fuels. No, no, we CANNOT drill our own oil? Offshore of the Continental US? No, no!
So, how does one take the news that Obama pledges $2 Billion American greenbacks to Brazil so they can drill their offshore oil? Is it just me or is this as absolutely contradictory as anything uttered by His Most Magnificence and the Minions?
Progressive domestic energy initiatives deny us drilling on our mainland, in Alaska, offshore and basically everywhere. Our only option, according to Progressives, are green and renewable things.
Anyone with a brain and NOT a partisan Lefty knows the reason Obama took over the car companies WAS NOT to rescue anything. It was totally and entirely to FORCE Detroit to build more fuel efficient, hybrid and electric vehicles. It was payback for the enviro nuts to throw their lot in with Obama, like the enviro lobby had any other choice!
So how does giving $2 Billion to Brazil to exploit fossil fuels dovetail with Progressive rhetoric about domestic energy exploration? The two do not compute - not one bit! Americans are forced to pay artificially inflated fuel prices because Progressives WILL NOT allow us to exploit our own VAST fossil fuel reserves offshore and on the mainland. But give the Brazilians $2 Billion? No worries, right Progressives? I love you guys. You make it too easy on me to metaphorically rape you. Thanks.
I guess I need ask, "Is Brazilian offshore oil less polluting?" I mean, that's all the Progressives have gone on and on about for some time, right? Long before they had the majorities in Congress they blocked every effort at the national and state levels to increase oil production. Same with coal. Obama stated - VERBATIM - he would bankrupt the coal industry. Hmmmm. They claim fossil fuels are too polluting.

Maxine Waters says she will socialize our oil industry....so Obama needs to reach out to other countries for future exploration..
I couldn't help but notice that there are no reports of environmentalists screaming bloody murder about this, either here in the U.S., or in Brazil. I wonder if it has anything to do with the oil companies in Brazil being owned by the government?

This is completely stupid....
So US is now investing in Oil companies overseas. Why why why????
We are broke but have the money to do this. What if they don't find oil. There is such a thing as dry holes. How is this creating job for us? I am tired of our tax payers money flying out of this country. Billion here billion there billon where billion for this billion for that. When will it ever stop. Where is my billion?? It makes me sick. President and everyone else thats works in government works for us. We pay their salaries and pension and health care. They get to say where it goes. what do they care as long as they get their salary.
I actually agree with you here. There are plenty of places we could drill.
Screw the American people. Obama has his own agenda and it only includes those who helped (paid for) him to achieve the office of President.
Scotty, it would create hundreds of jobs and keep the monies here in the USA. This is just more proof the Progressives have an agenda.

There are several other reasons Obama "loaned" out our taxpayer dollars to Brazil. His buddy, donor/supporter GEORGE SOROS. Old George has tons of shares in Petrobras. This same Petrobras just agreed to sell CHINA 58 billion drums of oil each year. Who holds the most U.S. debt? Yep...China. Imagine using that $2 billion to drill off our shores. That would actually create jobs and stimulate the economy. Thanks Barry for looking out for us.
I think its funny how all these other nations (especially China and Latin America) are conveniently exempt from all these restrictions put on our nation! Here's another examply I read in one of John Duncan's recent constituent newsletters: We cannot drill for our own oil off the Florida coast, but we also cannot stop China from slant-drilling from international waters, in effect stealing OUR oil right out from under us! This 2M pledge is only more proof that Obama is corrupt, just like all the other Republicrat politicians, selling our country off to the highest corporate bidder.
