Why I Can't Live Without My 2003 Chevy Suburban LT

Sorry Al Gore. I'm helping to destroy the environment and I don't care. If you can invent a vehicle as roomy as my Suburban that can comfortably transport 6 kids and an extra friend to and from school that is environmentally friendly and doesn't cost as much as a small house, I might be right there with ya.

We were able to buy ours used for about $16,000. It was repossessed through the credit union my husband works for, and it only had 45,000 miles.

My 2003 Chevrolet Suburban LT not only drives like a dream, it's "PURTY". The body is an attractive taupe color with tan and black interior. But it's not just the appearance I'm in love with. It's all the fun gadgets.
My favorite feature is the heated leather seats (they make me smile on a snowy day).

But the vehicle is more, oh so much more, and without it I could not function. You see, I practically LIVE in the darn thing.
From sunup to sundown, I transport kids like a scheduled mass transit system, from orthodontic and doctor appointments, to piano lessons and dance.

It moves groceries like a refrigerated semi, but mostly it's a glorified mobile waiting room.
That much sitting can be sore on a rear, but instead it's luxuriously cushioned in comfort as my adjustable lumbar support lovingly cradles my lower back. The gas peddle adjusts with the push of a button to rise up and meet the foot on my very short leg, thus eliminating muscle strain.
I've become quite dependent on it and here are a few more reasons why.

1) It's a traveling dressing room.
As we zip down the freeway to ballet lessons, my daughters quickly dress into their leotards and tights. The windows are tinted, so we assume nobody can see in, but even if they could they would probably just see a blur of pink and black flying past.
