Tips for When Your Article is Rejected

Have you ever had an article rejected? If your writer most likely you experienced those times when your article has been declined. The reviewer may not even given you a reason that seemed plausible to you. So what do you do when your article is rejected? There is no need in getting all
 emotional you have some choices.

The reviewer may have given some reasons that you can edit and fix what ever the problem is. Once you have fixed the errors you just resubmit for publication. There can be many reasons for its rejection other than the obvious grammar or spelling errors. If the reviewer rejected the article for being to vague or broad you can rewrite it.

Sometimes an article is rejected because it doesn't fit the criteria of the site. Not all content is paid some is not paid but still accepted. Associated content does not pay for prose, short stories, poetry or some local news items. What may sound good to you may not be in demand by many readers. Sometimes even though a subject is hot an article can get rejected. The reason being if many writers write on the same angle than AC would only accept so many of those before the subject would become too saturated.

If you can change your title and edit your content to be more searchable than you can take a rejected article and get it accepted. Always try to edit your article based on the reviewers comments. The reviewer is not picking on you. If you have more rejections than accepted articles than maybe you need to examine whats wrong.

One way to get more articles accepted is to write about things you are very passionate about. Get your facts straight. Unless it is a review of a certain product try and keep your article in third person not first person. Find your niche and write helpful and interesting articles on the subject. Keep your articles within 400-600 words. If articles are too wordy readers will not read them. Keep it short and simple.

Write your articles on the level of your readers.

You can always submit your article for non-payment if you believe its worthy. If its a good article it will get you many page views. An article that doesn't pay up front can pay you dividends down the road.

Timothy I agree with writing about things you are passionate about. I've submitted around 200 articles to AC, and only a very small portion (10 or less) have been rejected. I think that's because I write about what I know best, or at least have a keen interest in. Thanks for the insight.

I had one rejected long ago, but at least I received a reason why and was able to revise.
