Jasmine Fiore Death Photo Pulled by TMZ
Jasmine Fiore Body Photos Continue to Be Sought on Net
It didn't occur to me that sooner or later, a Jasmine Fiore death photo would find it's way onto the Internet. How could I be so naive? TMZ posted a Jasmine Fiore death photo yesterday but has since taken it down (were they threatened with a lawsuit?). Mind you, it wasn't much of a photo; the Jasmine Fiore death photo posted by TMZ was a grainy image taken from a video screenshot that scarcely reveals the contours of what could be Jasmine Fiore's body stuffed in a suitcase. Why do people want to see Jasmine Fiore death photos? It's all about morbid curiosity. It punctuates the darkest side of humanity and it ought not be indulged, encouraged or cultivated. That this dark side of humanity exists (it's in you, me and every human being who has ever walked the face of God's green earth) is continuously demonstrated to me; for instance, it is demonstrated by the enormous amount of interest that "death photos" on the Internet inspire. (Michael Jackson and David Carradine are two recent examples. People were searching for their death photos like nobody's business.)
The phrase, "teachable moment" is very much in vogue these days. And while the last thing I want to come across as is self-righteous (I am no saint, trust me), I must say that when I write articles that deal with sensational, salacious or violent subject matter, I always try to include a moral message if possible.
So to those of you who were expecting or hoping to find explicit Jasmine Fiore death photos here, I'd like to say this: Why not spend your time and energy doing something more constructive? Practice random acts of kindness; volunteer your services in a soup kitchen; read an uplifting book.
