Homemade Recipes for Hair Care Products

Everyday consumers spend a fortune on hair care products. It can get expensive keeping up with the latest and best products for your hair. Imagine the amount of money that you can save if you were to create your own hair care products. These products work just as well as the store bought
 products but at a fraction of the cost.

Hair Spray:

Ingredients that you will need:

1 lemon

2 cups water

1 ounce rubbing alcohol

Chop the lemon up and place in a pan with 2 cups water. Boil until only half the original amount remains in the pan. Allow the mixture to cool then strain the liquid into a spray bottle. Add one ounce of rubbing alcohol for a preservative allowing for a shelf life of two weeks unrefrigerated.

For a longer shelf life than two weeks, keep the hairspray in the refrigerator.

Hair Gel:

Ingredient that you will need:

1/2 to 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin

1 cup warm water

To make the hair gel, dissolve the gelatin in 1 cup water. Refrigerate the mixture. Now you can use the hair gel like you would any store bought hair gel.

Shelf life for the hair gel is one week refrigerated.

Mousse:

Ingredients you will need:

1/4 cup of plain unflavored gelatin

1 cup warm water

Dissolve the gelatin in the water and bring to a boil. Let sit at room temperature until it is almost set. Whip the mixture up and allow to sit again for a few minutes. Now you can rub into your hair and style as usual.

The shelf life for the mousse is one week refrigerated.

Anti-Frizz:

Ingredients that you will need:

1/2 cup conditioner

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon almond oil

To make mix all the ingredients together. Make sure that all the ingredients are thoroughly blended. Apply the anti-frizz to damp hair. Work the anti-frizz through out all of your hair. Allow to set in your hair for at least 20 minutes. After 20 minutes rinse completely out of your hair.

This anti-frizz works for all types of hair.

Hot Oil Treatment:

Ingredients you will need:

1 teaspoon soybean oil

2 teaspoon castor oil
