Have you ever seen real Tango dance contests on T.V? Have you seen live performances of truly skilled Tango dancers locally or at competitions you attended? It's something to behold, believe me. The Tango is a sultry, seductive dance with intricate foot-work and seductive costumes. At its best, it is a magnificent display of athleticism. The teamwork necessary to do this difficult type of dance takes years to learn. Yes, some people can learn this style for social dancing, but many who take lessons will get hooked and want to increase their skills if they have an innate natural talent. It's hard to find real master teachers, but everyone must start with the basics, and that means locating a local studio that gives instruction in this dance form for beginners. There are some studios in and around the Miami area where anyone can start.

The Best of Dance Studio is probably not the first place to start, but it certainly specializes in this unique dance style, specifically in the Argentine Tango. Since there are evidently several types of Argentine Tango that vary in tempo and mood, there are different times for lessons featuring the various types of dance. Tuesdays, from 8-9 p.m. lessons take place at their ballroom for beginners in Argentine Tango. From 9-10 they teach Milonga and Vals, the other two types. On Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. they teach several classes to beginners and intermediate dancers in several forms of Argentine Tango. They do not give their pricing on the web site, so people need to call them about setting an appointment to talk about this, if interested.
