re you a affiliate marketer that is considering adding email marketing to your arsenal? If so, you need to understand the basics of email marketing and learn the strategy in making it work for your online business. You will be wasting your time if you do not learn the fine art of email marketing.

I would like to cover some tips that will allow you to have an effective email marketing campaign for any product or service that you are or would like to promote.

There are three principles in making email marketing work for you. The recipient of your message must open your email. The recipient must be interested in reading the message in your email. The final principle lies within getting the recipient of your email to respond positively to your message. You must be successful in all three principles if you want to be a successful email marketer.

How do you get someone to open up your email? It all lies within what you list within the subject line of your message. Tailor your message for each individual on your mailing list. People respond better when you are addressing a message to them. Some email marketing pros explain that messages that are not tailored to individuals on your list are more than likely deleted.

Address each of your mailing recipients by their name. For example, "I have a special free offer for you inside Robert" should be typed into the subject line instead of "I have a special free offer for you inside." No one likes to be sold to and this is an easy way to get the recipient to open up your message.

Also, please notice that I used the word "free" in the subject line. You must convey to message recipient that you have something of value for them without them investing any money.

Now let's move on to the next principle which is getting the email recipient to read your message. I am going to be honest. I receive tons of email messages on a daily basis and delete over half of them. You know why? Simply because they are boring. I know that I am not the only one that is this way about email messages.
