Visit, Join or Help with the Circus This Summer

Are you looking for something to do to pass the summer months? Maybe you're hoping to find something new and interesting for your child to do this summer? Whatever the reason, you and your child will have the summer of a lifetime when you join the circus!

You don't have to know how to fly through the air on a trapeze, or know how to get animals to do fanciful tricks, in order to join the circus. If you live close to Peru, Indiana, you can join the circus for free. In fact, the famous circus doesn't believe in turning away anyone that really wants to participate. No matter how old or how young the Peru Circus has a place for you.

What parent doesn't worry about what their kids will do all summer? With the Peru Circus, you'll know your child is spending his summer in a wholesome environment where he can hang out and watch the happenings, or sign up and try out for one of the specialty acts. With trampolines, high wire acts, jugglers, and even clowns, your child has plenty of opportunities to showcase his or her talents. Training begins shortly after the closing of school for the summer, with performances July 14-21, 2007, July 12-19, 2008, July 11-18, 2009, and July 17-24, 2010.

Your child doesn't have to perform in one of the specialty acts to participate in the circus. There are positions for every member of the household. Costumes need to be sewn, rigging needs to be raised and secured, and clowns are accepted by the dozens. So, if one doesn't want to actually perform, they can still join and help.

Although the Peru Circus is conducted on a volunteer basis the trainers and coaches, as well as some other helpers, are paid and well-trained. Kids will exercise, laugh, make new friends, and generally have a once-of-a-lifetime experience. And if you're concerned that your child isn't old enough to be dropped off at the circus for the day just get the whole family involved, and you can be right there with your child. Even if you don't care to participate you're still welcome to hang out with your child while he or she participates.

how cool! My dad was born and raised in Peru, and all my siblings and I used to spend summers there with Gram and Gramps. Nice article, Emma!
