In this Microsoft FrontPage tutorial I will show you how to create the green gradient pipe scroll menu in my image. Please see the image that I have provided to see the ending results. This is a scroll button with a green and white gradient effect. The gradient effect applied to the button makes it look like a pipe. You create the first button and apply the effects, then you copy and paste the other buttons.

If you are adding these buttons to a web page that you have already started designing, then open that page. If you are creating a new page to add these buttons too, then open your FrontPage program and a new page will load. Don't forget to save your work as you go.

How to Create a Green Gradient Pipe Banner Menu in Microsoft FrontPage

First, we need to draw the first button. We will do this using the Auto Shapes in FrontPage. Go to the top of your window and click Insert > Picture > Auto Shapes. The Auto Shapes toolbar will pop up on your page. Click the Stars and Banners Icon, it should be the fifth icon on the toolbar. When the menu drops down, click on the Horizontal Scroll shape. Draw your shape on the page. Draw the scroll the size of a button.

Next, we will apply the gradient effect to the scroll button to make it look like a pipe. Click on the button to select it. Then go to the bottom of your screen and click the little arrow beside the paint bucket. When the menu pops up, click Fill Effects. The Fill Effects window will pop up and you will need to apply the following effects.

Click on the Gradient Tab. Then click Two Colors. The two colors box will appear on the box. Change Color 1 to White and change Color 2 to Green. Roll your mouse over the color boxes and it will show the name of the colors.

Leave the Transparency section at 0%. Click Horizontal in the Shading section. The last step is to choose your Variant. Click on the bottom right variant. Then click the OK button to apply the effects.
