Microsoft FrontPage: How to Create a Burgundy Gradient Wave Menu
In this Microsoft FrontPage tutorial I will show you how to create the burgundy gra
dient wave menu in my image. Please see the image that I have provided to see the out come of this tutorial. This menu is very easy to create. If you are adding this menu to a web page that you have already started designing, then open that page. If you are creating a new page to add this menu too, then open your FrontPage program and a new page will load.
How to Create a Burgundy Gradient Wave Menu in Microsoft FrontPage
Step 1 - Drawing your Menu
The first step is to draw your menu. Go to the top of your FrontPage program and click Insert > Picture > Auto Shapes. You auto shapes toolbar will appear on your page. Click on the Stars and Banners icon and then click on the Wave shape. Roll your mouse over the shapes to see the names of them. Once you have clicked the shape, go ahead and draw the menu on your page.
Step 2 - Reshaping the Menu
If you like the big wave in the menu you can skip this part of the tutorial. If you would like to take some of the wave out of the menu, do the following. You will see a yellow diamond at the top left side of the menu. Grab that diamond with your mouse and pull it up to take some of the wave out.
Step 3 - Applying the Gradient Fill
Next, we will apply the gradient fill to the menu. Click on the menu to select it. Then click the little arrow beside the paint bucket. Click Fill Effects when the menu pops up. Your Fill Effects window will pop up and you will need to click on the Gradient Tab at the top of the window. Click the Two Colors option in the window. Then drop the Color 1 box down and select Dark Red. Drop the Color 2 box down and select White. Leave the Transparency field at 0%. Click Horizontal for the Shading Style. Then click the bottom left variant. Click OK to apply the Gradient Effect.
Step 4 - Apply a Border
Click on your menu to select it. Click the arrow beside the paint brush. Then click More Line Colors. When the box comes up enter the following in the Value field Hex={81,13,13}. Click OK on the box to apply the border.
